Sewing Skills for Upholstery

Come and join us for a 3 week course to gain sewing skills that are the foundation of upholstery and soft furnishings. Over the 3 weeks (9 Hours) you will develop a set of samples for you to take away. You will learn how to create, join and insert pipping. Inserting zips on pipped edges and enclosed zips for box cushions. And also how to create professional looking piped curved edges and corners. These samples will make an excellent reference for when you start your next upholstery project. Materials provided but you need to bring a good sharp pair of fabric scissors and dressmaking pins. A note pad and pen is really useful for making notes and If you have a sewing machine of your own please bring this along too.
