Footstool workshop (5)

During this one day workshop, you will be given step by step tuition and all the materials needed for you to produce a beautiful footstool to take home with you at the end of the day. Using modern materials and traditional techniques, you will build your footstool from the frame up. From webbing up the frame, through to putting on the top cover, we will guide you through the process. If you want to enhance your footstool with shallow buttoning or trim, we will show you how.  

You will be working on a craftsman made frame, approx. 30.5 cm by 61 cm. Leg height 12.5 cm. The overall finished height of your footstool will be approx. 25 cm. The legs are unfinished pine.  All materials and frames are provided. 

You will need to bring a metre of your chosen top fabric and any trim you wish to use.

If you have a basic sewing kit, scissors, pins, tape measure, etc it would be useful to bring them along. We provide tools, but if you have your own, you are welcome to bring them.

Duration 6. hrs  (incl. 1/2 hour lunch break).
